Happy Birthday!

Today is my husband's 30th birthday! I don't have any pics yet but will get some tonight and post them later. But I thought that I would go ahead and post about TJ anyway! This month will mark the 7 year anniv. of TJ and my first meeting. I can't believe that it has been that long! When our friend, Jose, introduced us all those years before who knew that we would end up here? But I am so grateful that we have. Both of us have grown and changed so much in the 7 years that we have been together and the 5.5 that we have been married. But today is TJ's day. TJ is so different today than the day that I met him. When we met, TJ was is his 6th or 7th year of college. He just sort of went, didn't study did't work hard and had no real plans after graduation. He didn't attend church and totally lived life for himself. That is not the TJ of today. I am so proud to call TJ my husband. He is one of the best Christian men that I know. He is so new to the true calling of a christian that he thirsts for more. He has a true passion for working with youth. He really relates and forms lasting relationships. He works so hard to be the man that God has called him to be. He is the leader in our house and his faith is so strong! He has been my rock these past few years. When I was tired and was ready to give up, TJ was there with stead fast faith telling me to keep going. He is such an amazing man. He has gone out of his way to find good male role models and I am so excited that our Little Man will have such an amazing daddy to look up to.
TJ is such a hard worker. He has a career that often means long hours during certain parts of the year. He does not complain. He gets up and goes to work and has been coming home and helping me get LM's room ready. No one can say that he does not give his all and then some.
He is my best friend. Like with all friendships and marriages, we have disagreements but through it all I know that I am blessed. I married my best friend. Have had 7 wonderful years with him. Faced many many hardships that most people do not have to face. I know I am blessed to have this man by my side to walk this path with. There is no one else that I would want to do that with. Here is a list of things that I love about him. I have narrowed it down to 10 but I could go on and on

1. I love his heart for the Lord and the Lord's work
2. I love watching him play and interact with the youth at church
3. I love his secret obsession with shoes. He has almost as many as I do!
4. I love that he denies the few gray hairs that we have found
5. I love that he sings (badly) to any and every song on the radio
6. I love that he takes Capone on car rides just because Capone likes it
7. I love how he has these 2 calics on the back of his head that go in different directions and make him look like a little boy no matter how much gel he puts on them!
8. I love that he counts my brothers as some of his closest friends
9. I love how he talks in his sleep and denies snoring
10. I love how he calls or texts me every morning after we are at work just to tell me good morning and that he loves me even though we had just said good bye

I love that boy!
