Follow up

I am working on the attachment/bonding post. I promise it will be up before too long! I have not forgotten about it.

On a side note, here is what is going on in our lives at the moment. TJ is working lots and J and I are staying home. Thats about it. We have really not been doing very much. We are starting to make a list of all the baby things that we are going to be needing. It is actually a little hard to find stuff when you don't know what you are having! So we have spoke to many moms and made a list of immediate needs and then we will get those in gender neutrals. Then after a week or so when I feel up to shopping we can go and collect all the other fun stuff. We have picked out our car seat/stroller combo, swing, and play pen. It is all the same set so that was easy. Just a matter of going and picking it up. We are still looking for a dresser to refinish and use as a changing table. I want something fun and retro if we can find it. Mom is looking in OK and we are looking here so I am sure we will find something soon.
We are heading to OK this coming weekend to go see my aunt and uncle. My aunt is going to be doing our taxes this year since we have so many changes that happened this year plus an adoption credit. Our guy here has never done an adoption return so off to see someone who has! We are planning a small get away though. We will only be gone overnight but wanted to make it fun since we never get to do it. We are actually staying in my home town which is only about 30 minutes away from where my aunt and uncle are. While there, we are staying at a hotel with an indoor pool so that J can play. He will love it. We are pretty excited because TJ's best friend and his wife just had their first baby last week and we have not got to see him yet. I am so excited to see little Jaxson!
Good news for us is that I have finally gained a little bit of weight to make my doctor happy! I am now 6 months pregnant and have put on 8 pounds. That was enough to not have to increase my calories or anything. Woohoo. I was not wanting to have to drink protein shakes or anything like that. Baby is healthy, growing, and moving around like crazy. It is hard to believe that in 4 short months, we will be the parents of 2 perfect little kids! We are so so so excited. Jerrett is actually more excited than we are right now. He prays over the baby in Mommy's tummy all the time. He touches my belly and talks to the baby. he gives it kisses and calls it his baby. And tells me at least 4 times a day that he is ready for baby to be here. I know that will probably change once the baby gets here but for now I am happy with it! Anyway, I will hopefully get back on here soon. I got a short reprieve today while Jerrett was playing in his room but he is wanting to play a game now so mommy duty calls!
